RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- Gremio is considering a move to sign former Chelsea midfielder Willian on a free transfer, according to media reports in Brazil.

The 37-year-old has been without a club since parting ways with Fulham in May after just four months in his second spell at the Premier League club.

He has also attracted the interest of clubs in the MLS and Saudi Arabia, according to Globo Esporte.

Gremio is currently 13th in Brazil's Serie A standings, just three points clear of the relegation zone.

Willian has been capped 70 times for Brazil in a career that has included spells at Corinthians, Shakhtar Donetsk, Chelsea and Arsenal, among other clubs. ■
