NEW DELHI, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- A domestic fight returned to the Delhi airport minutes after take-off, as the pilot detected a fire indication from one of the engines, confirmed the airline's spokesman on Tuesday.
Immediately after the fire indication, the pilot gave the May-Day call, but later downgraded it to a Pan-Pan call indicating emergency landing, he added.
The flight landed safely and all the passengers onboard were deboarded, added the spokesman. The flight was bound for Indore, a city in the country's central state of Madhya Pradesh.
The incident occurred on Aug. 31. The fire indication was in the right engine. ■
